Indian Army showcases next-gen combat readiness in Arunachal

Itanagar: The Spear Corps of the Indian Army successfully conducted a high-stakes exercise in the forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh, underscoring the military’s push to integrate new-generation equipment and weapons.

The exercise, part of the Army’s focus on transforming its operational strategies, is emblematic of the ongoing shift toward more technologically advanced and agile forces, Defense PRO Lt Col Amit Shukla said in an official statement on Tuesday.

Set against the rugged, mountainous backdrop of Arunachal Pradesh (exact location not shared for security purposes), the field exercise put to the test the Army’s ability to operate seamlessly in harsh, challenging conditions. Central to the exercise were the integration of enhanced mobility systems, real-time Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), and state-of-the-art communication networks — components that are designed to ensure rapid, efficient decision-making in a high-tech battlefield environment.

The exercise employed state-of-the-art platforms and modern combat systems, facilitating faster decision-making, seamless information sharing, and synchronized battlefield awareness. These enhanced capabilities significantly bolstered the operational agility of the troops, highlighting the Indian Army’s commitment to technological advancement and innovation in warfare.

“This successful drill serves as a testament to the Indian Army’s readiness to meet the evolving challenges of modern warfare and reaffirm its commitment to driving transformation through continuous innovation, jointness, adaptability, and enhanced combat effectiveness,” the statement added.
